Hello, is anyone still here? It’s been a while, quite a while to be honest since I’ve last blogged. I never anticipated being away for quite such a long time but life took over, the family expanded and my spare time disappeared. But now I’m back and I’ve got loads of new patterns in my bag ready to be released waiting for you. So even though I took a break from blogging I never really took a break from crocheting. As it still stands crocheting is my therapy and is the one thing in life that keeps me sane :) I might have started another hobby along the way too but more about this at another time. If you follow me on Instagram you might already know what it is.
As this is somewhat a new beginning my blog also needed a new more updated look. At the end of the day, the initial design was a “dinosaur” in terms of blogging terms and it really needed a revamp. I’m hugely in love with the new look. What do you think about it? Anything that you would see to make it an even greater experience? It’s still a little bit of a work in progress but overall it’s here to stay now.
As a little special treat, I’m kicking this new blogging journey off with a new pattern. This pattern was inspired by a tiny little wooden rainbow my little girl loves to play with. She requested a very squishy rug to play on and my ‘pastel rainbow rug was born’.
Look at all those different textures, which makes the rug ultra squishy. This pattern features the very soft Paintbox Yarns Wool Mix Super Chunky and I love the fact that the colour palette worked exactly the way I had it in my head for it.
Since my toddler instantly loves to stomp on it I class it as a success. What do you think?
Time to make now one for yourself? If I got you ‘hooked” on a rainbow rug this pattern was designed as a collaboration with Lovecrafts.com is now available in my shop.

Gorgeous! thanks for sharing on craft schooling sunday, hope to see you again soon.
Very nice rug! I love patterns for things for the home! I’ve crocheted three round rugs to put in front of my clawfoot tub….not all at one time, lol! Three, so I can lay down a clean one while the most recently used one is washed and hung to dry. I used ‘kitchen cotton’ yarn and varied the pattern from one to the next so each is slightly different. Currently working on an afghan using unbleached ‘kitchen cotton’ yarn. Just the borders at each end left to go!
