When you are a regular reader of my blog, you will know that I like to get involved in charity projects. Helping other people with your skill is always great. Being able to put a smile on a child’s face, even better. Trying to achieve a world record yarnbombing with your crochet skill is amazing. So when I heard about this charity event there was no question that I was going to get involved. And of course, I wanted to create a pattern for it :)
I’m talking about the yarn bomb in aid of Havens Hospices organised by the Craft Club in Essex, UK. The event is going to be held in Little Havens Garden on 25 August 2014 for the patients and their families. While a small “pre-exibition” of the yarn bomb so far will be happening at Metal’s Village Green Festival on 12 July 2014.
If you want to get involved please send the craft club an email at thecraftclubyarnbombers at gmail.com to find out more.
Tommy is going to be my first contribution to this yarn bomb, we’ll see in the next couple of weeks what else I’m coming up with :)
